Are You Ready For Some Primitives?

Happy Tuesday my friends!
This morning did not start off well for me.
I did not sleep well...and I woke up late for work.
I hate when that happens.
So my morning routine did not happen....
I had kitties mad because I did not feed them in the order
I usually do...oh and they know.
Then it usually happens...
whenever you are in a hurry,
you always get behind a slowpoke.
Well I am back at home,
so now I am going to let the pictures tell the rest of the story.
These are from our store.
Hope you enjoy.

Lots of pics...Yes.
Did you like our dipper tree?
I wanted to add corn cobs..but did not have the time.
Maybe next year.
The tree is all made of metal and very heavy.

Off to make dinner now.
Have a great night!!!

November CupboardScape

November always reminds me of the farmer's bounty.
With this month's CupboardScape,
I tried to encompass that.

Using some of my stone fruit, cotton and grasses.

I don't like using the flash on my camera,
however today is so overcast that I had to.
The stone fruit in the middle cubby are my latest.
Peaches on the ends and a kiwi in the middle.
(Still no watermelon to be had)

The white stoneware pitcher is also a new one.

Stone grapes peeking in the back.

I found this awesome piggin butter churn
at our latest show.

Piggin is the term used for a handled wood piece.
See the wood handle in the back of the dasher.
The dasher is the plunger used to mix cream into butter.
It is unusual to find a piggin butter churn...
so you can imagine my glee when I spotted this.

Hope you enjoyed this month's CupboardScape.

Our Christmas Nightly View

Happy Saturday evening to you all!
Hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving dinner.
Over here in Michigan us Lion's football fans
were glad our team won...it was a real nail biter though.

I am almost done decorating our living room.
Still have a few more things to add to the trees.

I am so excited to show you, that I hope you don't mind.

One of the trees that I need to finish.

I have one more special thing to add to the bowl rack too.
Stay tuned.

Can you see the log cabin in the middle.

I so love it.

A new small wispy tree.

The red plaid throw was given to me by parents
many Christmas' ago.

The fireplace.

Wreath on cabinet.

One of our horses.

A vintage Santa pillow I made.

It is hard to take good pictures in the dark,
so I will do some daytime ones soon.

Now I want to show you some of Bob's new closet.

Antique door will go on the right.
Bob still needs to hang the doors on the left.
Ugly knobs on his drawers will be changed out.

Cedar tongue and groove.
Similar to shiplap but hung vertically.
This entire wall will be painted a tan.

Tomorrow morning we are off to Lowe's,
to purchase my closet door, ceiling medallion,
and more cedar to finish the wall around my closet.

Then he needs to sand the rest of the drywall,
paint and lay the wood floor.
Then comes the fun part!
I cannot wait!!!

Kind Kris Kringle

Well we got thru another Monday.
Only 4 Mondays left until Christmas.
I am feverishly working on trying
to finish up projects.
This is one of them.

A wool Kris Kringle project.

The background is a green check fabric.

The holly and pine needles were completed
 in a yellowish green wool,
not the traditional green.
This color reminded me of the leaves changing colors,
while the berries were Vibrant red Valdani thread.
I wanted a bit of  Autumn in this Christmas project.

The coat buttons are tiny rusty bells,
and his beard is real wool.
I hope to finish soon into a pillow...
however I am unable to get to the rest
of the green check fabric for the back.
Currently it is somewhere in our spare bedroom,
which is a chaotic mess right now.
Most of what was in our bedroom,
except for our bed, now resides in the guest room.
Drywall is up in our room.
Bob is now working on his closet.

For now this pillow is on hold...
now am working on something for my trees.
Stay tuned.

Are you working on any Christmas projects?
Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving.
Enjoy your turkey, ham, crab, lobster, etc.
Gobble it all up, whatever your dinner will be!

Santa Is Watching

TGIF friends!
Thanks again for all of your well wishes for my daughter.
She was sprung from the hospital today.
Now the fun begins...as she is not the type to sit,
and sit she must until the leg is healed...
which will be 6 weeks or more.

Santa will be watching to see if she is good or bad.

Along with the bunnies.

As most of you know by now,
I love bunnies.
It made perfect sense to place my handmade Santa
inside my clock case.
What a great way for him to watch over all that he sees.

Especially this this tiny iron bunny.

Plus his larger iron friend.

Santa must also be watching over my kitties...
they seem relaxed and comfy.
Ace bundled in.

Whilst Shadow enjoys a comfy chair.

What are your plans for the weekend?
Mine will be more Christmas decorating,
and making chicken enchiladas tomorrow
with Bob and I eating them with my daughter and grands.
