Good afternoon sweet friends.
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend thus far.
Spent yesterday bringing out my Autumn decor.

Besides Christmas, Halloween is one of my

I love that we can decorate our store for our customers.

A favorite memory, or how you like to celebrate,
your favorite candy or even a scary moment you had.
Anything related to Halloween.

One comment will get you one chance into the drawing.

If you want more chances, post my giveaway to your sidebar,
and you will get 3 total chances to win.

If you do a post about my giveaway, you get 5 chances to win.

If you bring me a new follower,

  1. Hi Janice! Such a super cute and generous giveaway. My favorite childhood memory of Halloween is of a neighbor lady who always put her trick or treat candy in special little bags. Hers was the only house that did that and I thought it was the neatest thing and that surely she was a wealthy woman, lol. Anyway, once I had my own place, I bagged the treats we gave away and still continue to do so all of these years later. Jane

  2. Ohh Janice, a chance to win some of your Halloween Prims!! Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year. I love how easy and fun it can be. Some of my fondest memories were when I had a big Halloween sleepover at my house when we had a teachers work day afterwards and nobody had to be at school on November 1. I decorated out basement with orange and black crepe paper, paper Halloween witches, skeletons, bats and pumpkins. I still have a few of these dime store decorations we got at Woolworths for pennies each. In the evening we did lots of games like bobbing for apples, trying to eat donuts hanging down while our hands were behind our backs, carving small pumpkins , and eating popcorn. The big finale was when we always read Alfred Hitcocks story , The Birds, at midnight. It was always so spooky read by pumpkin light, one flashlight and everyone piled together in sleeping bags!!! Trick or Treat!!!

  3. Well I can't come up with anything to match Jane and Winnie. Can I post my poem?
My broom is old and dusty, I seldom fly, oh well,
my greenish cast has faded, I never cast a spell.
The slimy toads adore me, they know I'm not a threat. I'd rather nap or crochet, so no one needs to fret. My days of making potions, are over--dead and gone, no one seems to trust me, afraid I'll get it wrong. My caldron is on EBAY, my groove is lost, they say. How can she be so happy, this witch who lost her way? My wicked friends forsake me, but that's just fine, you see..
I think I'll read a romance, and have a cup of tea. (hee hee).

  4. Evening Janice, I always look forward to Halloween, I'm like a kid!!!! One Halloween night my friend and I were trick or treating and came upon what looked like someone laying in a ditch. With it being dark, living in the country, we were terrified walking down the road. Well, turned out to be a dummy, thank goodness...Blessings Francine.

  5. Hi Janice, there are so many memories. One that comes to mind is the year I took a pillow case for trick or treating instead of a plastic pumpkin. I was in such a hurry to get as much candy as I could that instead of going around a bush that was beside a driveway, I tried to go through it. It had thorns in it and caused a big tear in my pillow case. My candy went everywhere. It was dark so I wasn't able to pick all of it up plus I had to tie a knot in it which made it even smaller. It served me right for being greedy! LOL!! Take care, Kelly.

  10. Stopping by from A Primitive Plot. I'm your latest follower, thanks to Peggy. Loved Halloween as a child. Between the candy, costumes and fun of trick or treating, it was one of my favorite days of the year.

  11. When I was a kid we used to go trick or treating on Halloween and the night before. The night before was called beggars night. My mom would get hundreds of kids each night. As an adult I used to go crazy for Halloween. We would get 80 or more kids trick or treating. That has now dwindled to less than 10. It makes me sad to think that the tradition may be fading away. I still decorate a little and can't wait to see the cute little ones at the door.
