Master Bedroom

Good evening sweet blogging friends.
I don't often show pics of our bedroom.
Because it is not finished ....yet.
Ugly brown linoleum on the floor.
Who puts linoleum in a bedroom?
The previous owner used this as a Summer home.
Living by the river, it was easier to clean up
sand with linoleum instead of carpet.
Our whole house was brown ugly linoleum.
Boxes of wood flooring are now in this room
waiting to get installed.

I do have this cabinet in our room.
I had the coverlet piece here before I moved it
to the kitchen for my December CupboardScape.
I so love being able to move things around.

Top of the cabinet.
The walls of this room are white particle board,
which will be replaced with drywall.
The rest of the house was ugly brown panelling.
We have been re-doing room by rom.
Thank goodness...almost done.

Hanging cabinet.

Added a sweet mitten and some leaves to it.

My great grandfathers trunk that came from France.
Before my great grandparents were married,
livng in France my gramma's parents did not want her
to date my grandpa.
They moved to Canada to start a new life and hoped
she would find a new beau.
Well she somehow got a message to my grandpa
and he followed after her on another ship.
They secretly wed here in Michigan and had nine children.
We believe her parents did not want them to marry,
because they were first cousins.

After folding up my blue coverlet,
I also added my newest cross stitch pillow.
I Googled free reindeer and tree patterns,
and stitched them randomly
onto Onasburg fabric and rag stuffed.
I like to give credit to the stitchers who created
these, however I neglected to write that down.
I do apologize as patternmakers do deserve credit.

Well thats a little peek inside our room for now.
Our bedroom redo is the first 2016 project
Bob plans on doing.
Cannot wait!

Old Master Bedroom Blessings To All!

Bedrooms have to have a prim flair too. In the mood to redo ours, thinking about log cabin look.
