My Office View

Good morning sweet friends.
Yesterday was a crazy ride home as I drove right into a storm
with pea sized hail.
Thought my windshield was going to crack.
So glad I drove through it unscathed.

I happened to have my camera with me at work last week,
so I decided to let you all see my daily view.
I work on the 4th floor with a view of two rivers.

In the foreground is the Black River.
A good name don't you think?
In the background is the blue St Clair River.
The same beautiful river by my house.

A closer view of this big blue river.
Across the river is Sarnia Ontario Canada.
The freighters travel this river to Lake Huron.
None passed by so I could take a pic that day,
but I see them daily now.

Finally the view of these gorgeous flowers that
two fellow co-workers bought me for
Administrative Assistant's Day.
Even though I am an AVP and am a commercial loan officer
and not an assistant,
I was very appreciative to these guys
who took the time to send me these gorgeous flowers.
We work as a team together and I feel we have one of the best teams in Michigan.
When I moved to this location along the two rivers,
I left a different team and we became a new team.
After three years we have melded together very good
and we compliment one another.
I really DO love my job!
Guess I must as I have been with the same bank for 18 years now.
I worked for another bank 19 years before being laid off,
so banking is in my blood now...never worked as a teller though.

Now I also love my second job working our antique store on Saturdays.
I love talking to our customers..both old and new.
I love re-arranging goodies and going on picks...
just like the pickers. LOL It is so much fun.

Well this is the view from my office.
Now you get to see what I do.
I would love to know if you love your office view
and what your job is.
It is nice to learn more about my blogging buddies.

Picture Perfect Blessings To All!
Janice

  3. Nice view Janice. I used to be a customer service representative for a bank for 17 1/2 years. Then the bank was bought out and a bunch of us lost our jobs. Now I'm an office manager for our local funeral director and I love it. I can come and go as I please when we are not busy. It's not a job for just anyone but I enjoy ministering to families in their time of grief.

BTW I don't have near as nice a view as yours, a lovely office but no view.

  4. I love your view. Very interesting. You get to see the weather and all kinds of things. I work as a med tech in a hospital laboratory. In the basement. Absolutely no view. I also work second shift so half the year even when we go to the cafeteria that has windows, it's dark so no view. The weird thing is, the way the air handlers work, we can smell when it rains. We look at each other and say, 'It must be raining'. Enjoy that view!

  6. What a lovely view! So interesting to also hear about your job.
I have been coordinating a new state project in 10 counties in western Wisconsin. When in the office, no windows.....nothing super special. When I am doing field work, I travel along the Mississippi and through some of the most beautiful hills & valleys.

  8. Nice view Janice! I never knew what your job was, wow you've been at it for a while, glad you love it! We were in Marquette and there were 2 freighters and 2 cement boats docked there. A week later the news showed one of the cement boats - the Saginaw - going through the locks, I wondered if you might be laying eyes on it in a few days. Warming up next week! ~*~Lisa
